Supply Chain / Marketing Channels
How to Leverage to Your Advantage
Speaker:
Michael Schleyhahn,
President - San Diego Fluid System Technologies
Many manufacturers who have been going to market through
traditional established channels that date back to
the late 60’s or earlier, are experiencing growing
stress with their channel partners that usually includes
manufacturer’s reps, distributors and/or dealers.
These relationships have been historically cemented
together by the memories of the “good”
years together in the 60’s and 70’s when
growing up with America was easier and more profitable.
Today, the traditional ways that manufacturer’s
go to market are changing and will continue to change
dramatically because of the combined influence of
increasingly sophisticated customer buying behavior,
the growing power of emerging competitors, and the
rapid proliferation of technology in the supply chain.
Ultimately, the primary beneficiary of these changes
will be the end user. Understanding today’s
evolving supply chain and how to leverage the changes
to your advantage will be the focal point of this
presentation.
