Dear ISM member or ISM member candidate,
We
look forward to your membership with ISM San Diego
in the coming year. ISM San Diego's 2012 calendar
is filling with top industry speakers, seminars, facility
tours and certifications review programs. Be sure
to check our new web site for upcoming events.
Registration
is now open and handled by ISM National for 2012.
Following is a quick guide to help you understand
any changes.
Membership
is from January 1st to December 31st. Dues are $209
annually and will be prorated to coincide with the
January membership expiration.

Requirements
for Membership
Thank you for your interest in membership with ISM-San Diego.
Any person interested in the supply management field is eligible
to be an Associate or Regular Member provided that such person
does not solicit business on behalf of such person or his or her
employer during meetings or any other communication venues of
ISM or its affiliates or special interest groups.

Option 1: Associate
Membership is open to those who have an interest
in the supply management profession locally, but do not wish to
become a member of ISM at the national level. Your initial application
and all renewals/reinstatements are managed through the local
San Diego affiliate office.

Option
2: Regular membership
is by far the most popular membership and makes up about 85% of
all members. You receive the full value of membership both in
your local affiliate and also the national ISM organization. Your
initial membership application and all renewals/reinstatements
are managed through the ISM customer service group.

Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) — ISM
launched the Certified Professional in Supply Management®
(CPSM®) program in May 2008. The CPSM® is the credential
that surpasses the demands of the international marketplace
with multi-faceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship
management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues
and social responsibility.

Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) — The C.P.M. is
now transitioning into re certification-only status. - ISM established
the C.P.M. program in June 1974. The establishment of the program
identified procurement as a professional function with high
educational standards and measures of ability and performance.
Among the academic and the business communities, it has earned
the recognition of, and respect for, purchasing as a key management
team member.

Annual International Supply Management Conference and Educational
Exhibit - Network with more than 2,000 peers at the only international

3: Student and Educator Memberships - ISM
and its affiliates offer students and academicians interested
in supply management, and meeting certain eligibility requirements,
dues-free memberships in the association.
